The Children Rejoice

I am very thankful to all of you for your rich supply of finances for the children in Peru. After we shared with you the children’s need for shoes, we watched God’s faithfulness again through your response. I am happy to say that we were able to take the trip to Peru and to purchase for each of the children one half dozen underwear, one half dozen socks, and a pair of good quality, long-lasting shoes that will survive even the roughest of play. The children are all very grateful for these gifts, as well as for the warm blankets that at this time are especially appreciated each night when the temperature drops. They thanked us again for the blankets we had purchased during our previous trip, and they told us how they are no longer freezing at nighttime. In addition to the shoes and clothing, this trip we were again able to stock up the orphanage pantry, which requires a considerable sum of money to do; thank YOU for allowing God to use you to provide this blessing to them.

If you would like to see additional pictures of the children, I invite you to visit the website at www.homeofrefuge.org. Our daughter, Aurea, has been working hard to update the webpage to provide both pictures and a video of the children for your viewing. I hope that it will help you see the joyful impact of your giving.

In an effort to better manage our communication with you and keep the costs of that communication efficient, I would like to ask you to take a moment to provide me with your email address. For all of our friends and supporters that provide us with an email address, I will in the near future be transitioning the newsletter format to an electronic one. This should facilitate my ability to provide more frequent updates about what is happening with the ministry of Homes of Refuge. Please email me at rosa@homeofrefuge.org and provide me with your first and last name and the best email to which I could send updates about the ministry. Each of you that receive your newsletter via email will still continue to receive your monthly donation cards and envelopes by regular mail, so as to provide you with the most convenient method for sending any support that you feel led to give each month. While it is our preference and goal to transition fully to an electronic format of newsletters, those of you strongly preferring to continue with paper newsletters will still be able to receive them through the regular mail.

In closing, I want to encourage you to continue believing in the promises of the Lord with full assurance of faith. The Lord that you serve is a faithful God. I tell you each that it is through faith and patience that we inherit the promises of God. Faint not, my dear friends; in due time you will reap the harvest.

Grace and peace,
